IQAC

About IQAC

National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bangalore, proposes that every accredited institution should institute an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) as a post-accreditation quality enhancement measure which aims at performance evaluation, assessment & accreditation and quality up-gradation of institutions of higher education. Ever since quality enhancement is an unremitting procedure, the IQAC will become a part of an institution’s system and work on the way to realizing the goals of quality enhancement and sustenance. The main aspiration of IQAC is to build up a scheme that consistently improves the performance of institutions. The IQAC will make a noteworthy and momentous involvement in the post-accreditation stage of institutions. Throughout the post-accreditation period, the IQAC will coordinate the efforts and measures of an institution en route for academic brilliance.

An Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) has been constituted in the college based on the recommendation given by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council. The primary aim of the IQAC is to develop a system for recording and monitoring quality measures of the institution with a view of academic and administrative performance. The IQAC is responsible for the quality- related initiatives of the institution including the optimization and integration of modern methods of teaching, learning and evaluation. The IQAC has its own strategies and quality measures and channelize the effects and measures of the institution towards academic excellence.

That’s why   they are included in the curriculum as a part of the course, a group of students are trained in creating works of art both utilitarian and aesthetic items like quilts from discarded pieces of cloth paper bags, collages and other articles are made and set up as fair in turn these students trained interested members in their localities to enable them to stand on their own feet.

A lot of interest is evinced by the participants. Efforts are being made to channelize these avenues of employment and livelihood.

Preparation of Jeevamrutham:

To sensitize the young girls towards expansion and concern for the preservation of our heritage and culture and conservation of environment is the special attribute of our institution We know the present miserable state of our Mother Earth who has been exploited by the careless actions of the mankind The problem of soil contamination has been overlooked with modernization. The increasing soil contamination is a threat to the nature and sustainable development So there has been an urgent need to put an end to this serious problem.

Our institution has taken measures to create awareness among the students about the ways to reduce soil contamination. Students have been a part of various programmes organized to promote the conservation of soil. One such is organic farming with the help of a cold drink for plants known as Jeevamrutham, used as a manure for plants. The words in Jeevamrutham itself shows its significance-Jeeva” means a living being or any entity imbibed with a life force and “Amrutham” means the elixir of life capable of prolonging life. It is the best organic fertilizer to increase the count of microorganisms which nourish the soil and help plants to absorb nutrients in the soil faster and boost plant growth and production.   It has been put to test and proven to produce some of the best quality plants. It makes the campus filled with healthy green It has been of a great advantage for students who come from rural areas to spread awareness in their localities. This idea has been pragmatic and low cost as it is made up of natural ingredients like cow dung, cow urine, jaggery, besan It is accessible to everyone. The staff’s encouragement to promote jeevamrutham has had a lasting impact on the students to make use of what’s available in the best way.
